Why the Vehicle Came In

This Porsche 911 GT3 arrived at the Dublin studio for front-end impact protection before regular highway and weekend track use. The owner's primary concern was preserving the factory Carrera White finish on high-impact surfaces prone to rock chips and road debris damage.

Customer Goal

The goal was straightforward: protect the most vulnerable front surfaces of the vehicle without altering the factory paint appearance. A Full Front PPF package was selected as the appropriate balance of coverage and value for a track-oriented 911 GT3.

Protection Areas Selected

The Full Front package covered the following high-impact surfaces:

• Front bumper
• Full hood
• Front fenders
• Side mirrors
• Headlight housings (where applicable)

Installation Approach

The vehicle was thoroughly washed, decontaminated, and inspected before film installation. The Dublin studio's controlled-environment installation bay minimizes airborne particles during the PPF application process. Each panel was measured, cut, and applied using the squeegee method to ensure a clean, edge-wrapped finish.

Notable Surfaces

The 911 GT3's front end presents several complex contours, particularly around the bumper intakes and splitter. These areas require careful film manipulation to maintain full coverage without visible seams or stretch marks.

Finished Result

The Full Front package provides a virtually invisible protective layer over the factory paint. The self-healing top coat helps maintain clarity over the life of the film, and the covered surfaces are protected from rock chips, road debris, and minor impacts common to highway and track driving.
